Angela Smits is Sustainability Manager for the Packaging Coatings business in Stahl, the world leader in speciality coatings for flexible materials. She integrates the ESG program and leads the sustainability plan for this business division . This includes collaborations towards sustainable and circular solutions. Prior to this role, she worked as Sr Product Sustainability Specialist and Market Applications Specialist at Cargill Bioindustrial/Croda. Including emissions reduction, product lifecycle assessment, sustainability of innovation, supply chain transparency and certification. Building on 25+ years' experience in technical, innovation and (biobased) product development roles. Angela Smits studied Chemical Engineering and Chemistry at Eindhoven University of Technology and holds a PhD from Utrecht University, The Netherlands.
