Daniel P. Sanders, Ph.D. is a Principal Research Scientist and Senior Manager in charge of the Materials Discovery department at IBM Research – Silicon Valley. After receiving his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology, Dan joined IBM Research to develop new patterning materials for advanced semiconductor fabrication. Dan currently oversees a department whose mission is to develop and apply advanced AI algorithms to solve critical business challenges, including those associated discovering and driving the adoption of safer materials.
