David Walker has over 30 years of professional Advisoryy experience in the forest industry and bio-energy sectors. He is a Senior Partner with UB Forest Industry Green Growth Fund (UB FIGG), a private equity fund investing in companies focused on innovation involving replacing fossil materials with bio-based alternatives. UB FIGG has to date have invested in six companies, including Notpla (UK), traceless (Germany) and FiberLean (UK), all of which are focused on creating bio-based barrier coating solutions. Prior to joining FIGG, David managed his own Advisoryy firm, Kauri Capital, providing services to the forest products industry. He has also held senior leadership positions in Poyry (now AFRY), a consulting and engineering company serving process industries. David was born in New Zealand and is now based in Finland following 25 years working in Asia.
