Elina Roine
Elina Roine is a finance executive with over 25 years of experience in banking, investment finance and leadership in the EU and globally. Since September 2024, she has served as Deputy Director General of Lending and Advisory at the European Investment Bank—the financing arm of the EU and one of the world’s largest multilateral financial institutions.
Prior to assuming her senior management role at the EIB, Elina played an instrumental role in the Bank’s transformation into the EU Climate Bank. She currently directly manages and oversees a diverse portfolio of business functions, including operational strategy and planning, policy implementation, processes, best banking practices and compliance. Elina leads several organisational change initiatives, notably driving EIB’s digital transformation for front-line operations.
