Liz is an entrepreneur, designer, and engineer with a passion for solving tricky problems at the intersection of sustainability and the material world. She spent over 10 years helping large multinationals bring new products to market and understanding how user behavior and pschology drives decision making, before specializing in sustainable design and development. She founded Carbon Cell, a company developing a patent pending, plastic-free foam alternative to polymer-based foams, made with carbon-negative biochar, while studying at Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art alongside her co-founders, Ori Blich and Eden Harrison. Carbon Cell has been named one of Tech Nation's top 25 cleantech companies to watch in 2026, one of Cleantech Group's top 50 startups globally, and named one of Dezeen's best designs of 2025.
