James Bull is a retail and operations change leader responsible for Tesco’s packaging and food surplus strategy. He drives circularity, waste prevention, and sustainable improvements that strengthen long‑term business performance. James oversees programmes to remove unnecessary packaging, reduce environmental impact, advance reuse systems, and improve recyclability. He also leads initiatives to redirect surplus food to people and animals. Externally, he represents Tesco across key industry forums, serving as Deputy Chair of PackUK’s pEPR Steering Group and Chair of the Reuse Packaging Partnership.
