Dr. Paolo Bavaj is the Chief Innovation & Development Officer at Stahl, the world leader in speciality coatings for flexible materials. He joined Stahl in 2023 to lead Open Innovation and Corporate Development, focusing on scouting and implementing new technologies, applications, and business opportunities through partnerships and acquisitions. Prior to Stahl, Paolo held key roles at Henkel AG & Co. KGaA in the Adhesive Technologies business, including Corporate Director of Strategy and Head of New Business Development, where he launched Henkel Tech Ventures. With a background in R&D and new business development at Celanese Chemicals, Paolo brings extensive experience in innovation, sustainability, and advanced materials. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from RWTH Aachen, Germany.
