Sharon Barak is the Founder of Solutum, a breakthrough materials company engineering next-generation biodegradable compounds to replace single-use plastics at scale. A chemical engineer with 15 years of R&D and industry leadership experience, she combines deep materials science expertise with a strong commercialization focus. Sharon previously worked at a global plastics additives company, where she identified the structural end-of-life failures of conventional plastics — and set out to solve them. She holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
